MIDI & DMX compatible real time VJ software
ArKaos VJ is an incredibly fast software package that enables you to output outstanding video shows in matter of seconds. You can build a full performance using a few simple video loops from your hard drive by mixing and altering them using more than 100 real-time effects. ArKaos VJ DMX allows you to assign visuals, camera inputs, effect parameters, etc. to the sliders and buttons of a DMX console and have full control over your visuals and effects from the console.
To accommodate professional DMX consoles, ArKaos has now implemented an additional fixture-like control protocol. In this mode the DMX controls are split into several layers, for each of which, you can use pre-assigned parameters to easily select and control your visuals and effects. The Simple Control, Tiny Fixture and Full Fixture modes perfectly combine with Zero 88’s Frog consoles.
This implementation offers much more flexibility than most hardware media servers while lowering your costs, since most recent low cost computers are capable of playing high quality video.
On top of the 60+ original ArKaos effects, version 3.5 now supports additional FreeFrame effects. FreeFrame is the open-source cross-platform real-time video effects plugin system designed for use in VJing applications. ArKaos VJ comes with 42 pre-loaded FreeFrame effects and you can get many more other effects from the FreeFrame web site! Each of the effects in ArKaos VJ has changeable parameters, allowing infinite customization of each one.
